Dead Man's Trail

Wild Basin's Most Exciting Adventure Yet! Chock Full O' TERROR and PERIL!

The Saga Continues...

Haunted Trails has become an annual tradition here at Wild Basin Preserve. Haunted Trails is an important fund raising event for us, and we would like to thank you for participating this year. Wild Basin strives to entertain and educate our visitors and we hope we met or exceeded your expectations. Please come by and visit us whenever you need to experience the unspoiled beauty of the Hill Country. Remember to come back to Haunted Trails next year for more Halloween fun!

Wild Basin History

Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve was founded in 1974 to protect 227 acres of pristine Texas Hill Country and to provide nature education programs. Visitors enjoy 2 1/2 miles of hiking trails that pass through woodland, grassland, and streamside habitats. These habitats are home to threatened and endangered species, and hundreds of native plants, animals and birds. Wild Basin's nature education programs are funded by special events, memberships, corporate donations and grants.

Alien Invasion

Darn those claim-jumpers. Sneaky varmints from the back hills have snuck into the Wild Basin and begun digging... for gold! We don't like to talk about our hidden gold reserves much, but somehow the news slipped out.

It's not because we want to hide the gold, but we must protect our fine town from what lives underneath the gold, that creature that we dare not name out loud lest he hear us.

And now he is free again. It is up to you, the daring visitor to our holiday show, who is charged with the job of capturing this evil and returning it to its dungeon!

If anyone not working on this might get a hold of the program before they go on the trail, then I wouldn't include this part -- Jazz

Or is it?

The bus pulls into the Wild Basin, you are eager to solve the mystery of the Gold Diggers, and you are greeted with... chaos.

The trail is over. There has been a "disturbance".

Aliens have invaded the basin. We don't know why they are here, but we do know that they are killing people. And taking their likeness. Their faces. Their hands. Their minds.

Can you figure it out before you, too, are lost, a pawn in this deadly alien invasion?

_Note: This is just a sketch.. it needs work... you have ideas? Add them!_

Advertising

There are three half-pages of color advertising on the cover (back cover, front and back inside cover)

There is room for a 1/2 page ad on _The Saga Continues_ and _Wild Basin History_. There should also be room for 1/2 page of ad on _The Story_, more or less. In the mock-up, there is also a 1/2 page ad space under the _Trail Map_, and a page for ads opposite the map.

Additional inserts give us four pages of ads per insert.

The program guide itself is broken into pages by folding an 8.5 x 11 sheet. The cover is double-sided 4-color, the interior is double-sided B&W.
