Moving Out

Teepee Location: Bench (same one that Joy used to make people squishy in 2003) (B)

Purpose

Reinforce the message that the trail is closed, the story is gone haywire, and that there will be some alternative entertainment in the building. Also build up the tension a bit.

The actor should be concerned and somewhat tense... there may be a killer on the loose. NOT Panicky.

Description

An actor is packing up the remains of a station. Needs enough stuff there to justify the time packing up: boom-box with separate speakers, clip-on lights, up-lights, box of red squishy fish, some Western-themed set dressing, whatever. It should look like it would take about five-ten minutes to pack up.

The actor tells them something to the effect of, "I don't know what's going on. I just saw some lights or something, heard a really loud noise, and then the cops are telling me to pack up and head for the building. I mean, this is where I was going to tell you about the poisonous fish that you guys need to stop the demon, but I guess that's out the window. See, you were supposed to go through the trails and find these red fish, and you take them to the end of the trail and use them to banish the demon. Hey, I'm really sorry y'all's visit has been interrupted. Maybe we'll set up some kind of show for you in there, I bet we can make something up. We got us some mad improv skills, ya know? Keep moving, now, I've got to get done packing up. I'll see you in the building."

There should be one or more red fish (or other item) visible here for the group to steal.

In the background, any random patrolling HT people should be in a Men In Black type of mode; serious, purposeful, and with a walkie-talkie.

Station Concept The best idea I have at the moment is that it looks like it was supposed to be your traditional Old West themepark-show Exploding Outhouse trick.

It may also just be a "generic" wild-west station.

Alternate Story

The person picking up could have gone to the station to try and find the station actor, who hasn't reported in yet. Can't find them, so is going to pick up the station a bit and then look some more.

Guide Notes

The guide knows nothing about what's happening, but has maybe heard some rumors that people are disappearing. Concentrate on getting the group to the building safely. If the group takes a red fish, feel free to harass them for not having their priorities straight.
