Purpose
Transport guests to the Basin.
Description
Cattle pen and chute, leading to the "locomotive." Make the guests feel a little bit helpless, like cattle being led to the slaughter.
If it isn't convenient to put the cow between the lobby and the saloon, it should go here for effect.
The locomotive is staffed by another Deputy, who lets the guests ask him questions about the "posse" that they've been recruited into. The actor MUST keep conversation suspicion free.
Talk at length about the demon, about "dirty claim-jumpers mining where they ain't got no business digging." This will also give Group C some idea of whatthehell is going on. Let the groups interact and feed each other's suspicions.
Items they need:
- Poison (red) Fish of St. Dunstan (fishing lure)
- Magic Lasso of Clivus Multrum (guide ropes)
- Incantation of Banishment by Abdul Alhazred (the Mad)
- Gold "death" coins (from the Death year)
- Golden rod of power (gold-painted dowel?)
- Pixie dust (pixie sticks? Or just flour...)
The driver should have a walkie-talkie that is tuned to static, to foreshadow the next station's assertion that the radios aren't working well.
